I'm obsessed with the words and sounds of the song If You Could Read My Mind, by Gordon Lightfoot ©1969. I feel like it makes so much sense of the fear that I feel being so separated from my sense of self. Some things are left unresolved. Some lines aren't clear, the story is refracted, it's a reflection. It feels like I’m hearing it underwater. It feels naked, like rain or running into a doorway window you can’t really see through. It’s beautiful and loving. Bittersweet and true. I love the tone of his voice how the notes seem to match with mid tone values of photographs.
