4 THINGS...WILD

It's the best time of year. I am giving so much of myself and getting so much in return. I love my clients, all of the talented vendors, and my family. What a wild and beautiful adventure it is!Shooting: It was another double-header weekend of weddings. Whitney and I photographed the beautifully designed, and epic party of Amy and Guzzo. Mike and Jan captured the colorful, laughter filled day of Cynthia and Brian. It's been a wildly hot week but both weddings were magical and full of the warmest friends and family.

Painting: I had a fun paint date with my friend Jen Boyd. We experimented with the Art Snacks Box and some Rainy Dayz Gel Crayons (except there was no rain and we sat in the air conditioning!).

Dreaming of: Our last two wedding weekends. Even though it's been an intense 12 weeks I'm going to be sad when the wild, creative, joyous wedding weekends wrap up on the 25th of October.

Watching: Bob's Burgers. There's nothing like winding down at the end of the night with some laughter.

Big hugs, Suzanne

4 THINGS...UP IN THE AIR

I got back a few days ago from a 10 day trip to the midwest for family time, weddings and more family time. I'm so tired but so happy. It was amazing to spend time on a lake, laughing, playing and taking in the smells and sights of a new place.Loving: Gaidin's baptism at our great great grandparents church in Wisconsin. I am so lucky to be his Godmother.

Reading: A Field Guide for Getting Lost by Rebecca Solnit.

Drinking: Local central Wisconsin beer with friends and family. Spotted Cow by New Glarus Brewing Co. and a few new IPA's.

Photographing: Our family gatherings on the lake and some wild night slow motion photography. Also, Maggie and David's destination wedding in Somis, CA - a midsummer nights inspired botanical garden. These two light up the room. I love their spirit and kind hearts. Their joy is infectious. It was a double wedding weekend with Mike photographing Lauren and Daniel at a gorgeous estate wedding with the unique touch of growlers as centerpieces!

4 THINGS...SWITCHEROO

Hi wanderers! My name is Jenna and I am part of the Shewanders team working on communications. Suzanne was my wedding photographer and is just as fun to work with as she was to 'work' with on my wedding day. But that's not really why I'm here. We are pulling a little switcheroo and I'm taking over 4 things today! This week marked the first week of fall, my favorite season. The reminiscent feeling of school starting, sports in play, holidays coming and change in the air makes me want to jump for joy.

Dreaming of: Crispy fall air, crafting and pumpkin carving. But really, who isn't?

Writing: I am taking a copywriting class at San Diego Portfolio Studio and we are working on composing advertising headlines. My current projects is for Dave's Gourmet Fiery Hot Sauce and the tagline I am working with is...Don't Disrespect Dave's. Seriously though, this hot sauce is out of this universe, hotter than the face of the sun, hot.

Inspired by: This weekend I took a refreshing trip to San Francisco with a close friend. There is a magic to that city and to the people who make it come alive. Every time I visit, I feel empowered to try something new and just be my true, authentic self.

Reading: A book that is catching on like wildfire is The Crossroads of Should and Must: Find and Follow Your Passion.  “Should” is what we feel we ought to be doing, or what is expected of us. “Must” is the thing we dream of doing, our heart’s desire. I triple dog dare you to pick it up and challenge yourself to discover the 'musts' in your life.

Lots of love, Jenna

4 THINGS...SMILE

It was a wild week and I am grateful for every second of it. I can't wait to jet off for the next couple of weeks for family time, a wedding, and then more family time. We have 3 things this week, because 4 just didn't happen!Dreaming of: Today I fly to Wisconsin and I can't wait to see my family. What a treat. Cousins here I come! I can't wait to drink some coffee on the dock at the lake house.

Photographing: At the little del in Anderson's childhood home. I love photographing at homes; for me it's such a special story to tell. Courtney and Anderson's day was full of laughter, joy and a live band, woohoo! I've also been working on a few personal projects. One with motion, that has me mesmerized and hysterically laughing, is a project about Gaiden's toys.

Writing: Every day in my morning pages from the Artist's Way. "Morning Pages are three pages of longhand, stream of consciousness writing, done first thing in the morning. There is no wrong way to do Morning Pages – they are not high art. They are not even 'writing'. They are about anything and everything that crosses your mind– and they are for your eyes only."

Hugs and smiles, Suzanne
